With lockdown measures still in place, we won’t be celebrating this bank holiday the way we’d have thought, but that doesn’t mean you can’t make the most of the weekend from the safety of your own home! We’ve rounded up a list of things you can do to pass the time.
Use what you can to go all out and recreate the cinema experience at home. Agree on a set time, issue tickets, dim the lights and get your microwave popcorn ready to settle in for an evening of movie-magic at home. If you want to share the experience with people isolating separately, you can use a google extension like Netflix party to watch in time with each other!
No bank holiday is complete without a fancy drink, and staying home doesn’t mean you have to miss out on the fun. Round up some easy at home cocktail recipes, get the ingredients ready in advance (or improvise with what you have at home!) to whip yourself up a bank holiday treat.
Whether you’re doing it virtually or with your quaran-team at home, a games night is a great way to pass the time this bank holiday. Why not have a game of boozy bingo? Everyone mocks up their own bingo cards, then use a random number generator like this.
Phoebe Waller Bridge's incredible stage adaptation of her hit show Fleabag is available to stream online via the Soho Theatre website! They ask for a minimum donation of £4, which is then split between amazing charities working in the fight against COVID-19, so it's all foor a good cause - an added bonus!
Use up your old bananas and get in on the banana bread craze, or get inventive and use the extra time to bake something you've never tried before. Head to our Instagram stay home highlight for some inspo!
