Dare To Bare

Here, Evans' favourite women talk about having the confidence to wear the Design Collective's new sheer pieces and crop tops and how you can wear the trend your way.

Sheer is big fashion news. Designers from all four fashion capitals flashed the flesh for SS15. Urging us to explore our adventurous sides, the Evans Design Collective collection presented sheer layering and see-through looks on the catwalk. Showing skin is a trend that won't disappear, but how do you feel about revealing more? Will you demurely play peek-a-boo or will you grin and bare it?

"All the sheer fabrics mean you can flatter your figure without being totally uncovered"

US blogger Gabi Fresh doesn’t shy away from sheer. She loves doing sheer in black mesh and white organza. Fresh is confident showing off her curves and she wants you to be too. She moved from consumer to supplier four seasons ago, collaborating with swimwear brand SwimSexy to create her own collection.

"We all deserve to feel confident and sexy and that includes when we hit the beach"

Nadia Aboulhosn is one of Lena Dunham's favourite fashion bloggers. She loves brands that push boundaries.

"What I love about Evans is that they are very fashion forward. They're always trying to challenge themselves, trying to come up with new prints and shapes for women of all sizes"

Katy Syme is a winner of the Evans Plus Size Model search 2012. She’s part of the new model army promoting health and a curve-conscious figure. Modelling in the Design Collective show, she found her must-have pieces for the coming season.

"I loved the whole sports luxe vibe going on - I'm really into that: crop tops, layering with sports bras. All the sheer fabrics."

Boutique owner, TV presenter and member of post-punk band The Fall, Brix Smith-Start is an original frock chick. She loved the barely-there looks from the Design Collective show.

"There were lots of gorgeous shimmering fabrics, lots of layering and transparencies. The sequin detailing was really exquisite"

From The Corners Of The Curve blogger, AKA Callie Thorpe, couldn’t wait to try the new sheer pieces in the Evans show.

"It's good to see that people are realising that fashion should be an inclusive environment: Fashion is for everybody"

Liz Black is the creator of the blog P.S. It’s Fashion and is the plus-size contributor for Refinery29. This lady knows her Burberry from her Balmain and welcomes the collaborative nature of high fashion and high street.

"By including these big-name designers, we're getting a taste of that high fashion that we really, really want"
