how to measure
to find your correct dress size, measure your bust, waist and top and bottom hips.
- bust
- measure around the fullest part of your bust
- waist
- measure around your natural waistline, keeping tape comfortably loose
- top hip
- measure around your hips 4in above the widest part.
- bottom hip
- measure around the widest part of your hips.
*please bear in mind that although garment lengths are listed where applicable, our clothes are cut for an average height of 5ft 6in.
trouser styles
- bootcut
- A stylish trouser shape that sits on the waist, is fitted at the hips and flares at the hem. Ideal for balancing curvy hips and accentuating leg length.
- slim leg
- A flattering style of trouser that sits on the waist, with a closer fit through the thigh, knee and hem.
- straight leg
- A slimming trouser that is cut straight through the thigh and hem.
- wide leg
- Designed with a wider fit around the hip, thigh, knee and hem, which helps to balance out curvy hips.
- extra wide leg
- Designed with an extra wide fit around the hip, thigh, knee and hem which helps to balance out curvy hips.
- crop length
- A shorter leg length trouser, with a relaxed fit that sits on the waist.
- tapered (peg)
- A relaxed fit through the thigh and knee. Tapered from the knee to the ankle.

finding the right fit
More than 70% of women are wearing a bra that is the wrong size for them. Here's our quick and easy guide to help you find the right size for you. Check your size every year by referring back to this guide – not only does the right size give you support, but will also give you the best shape and style for your curves.
1. find your back measurement
- Measure around yourself just under the bust, keeping the tape quite tight and checking in the mirror that it's level all the way around.
- If the figure is an even number, add 4 inches. If it's odd, add 5. This gives you your bra size eg.
38 + 4 = 42 back size
39 + 5 = 44 back size
2. find your cup size
- Measure around the fullest part of the bust, again using the mirror to check the tape is level.
- The difference between this and the back measurement is your cup size. Simply use the table below to check what it is.

Because different bras do different things for you, here's a guide to help you find the one you need.
- balconette
- This bra has a lower cut cup, with wide-set straps and a horizontal bust line. Often seamed or boned, it’s push-up effect gives you a great cleavage - which makes it perfect under low-cut tops.
- plunge
- The one to wear under low-cut tops when you really want to wow, this fabulously sexy style lifts you up and maximises your cleavage.
- sling support
- In this bra the fabric from the cup continues into the strap to give you more support.
- multiway
- This versatile creation features lots of different options - like strapless, halterneck, sheer, one shoulder and racer back - so you can wear it with a whole range of tops and dresses.
- t-shirt
- With seam-free, moulded cups giving a totally sleek silhouette, every woman should have at least one of these. Make it invisible under clothes by choosing a nude shade if you're fair, or black if you have dark skin.
- firm support
- These bras are non-wired and have a full cup, with excellent additional support from stronger fabrics to make you feel secure and comfortable.
- performance
- The bra that's made for action: specially designed to offer maximum support when you're exercising, with soft cups and padded straps for comfort.
- how to find the perfect bra
- Because wearing the right bra can transform how you look and feel, we’ve put together 10 top tips on finding one that’s made for you. Once you’ve read through them, check out our bra measuring guide with your tape measure at the ready. But remember, it’s worth trying on a few bras, as the tape measure is only a guide.
- 1. keep checking
- Check your bra size at least every six months. Everyone’s breasts change over time for lots of different reasons, like having children, loosing or gaining weight, or just getting older.
- 2. try it for size
- When trying a bra on, lean forward and fill the cups properly. If they don’t seem properly filled, lift and reposition yourself so that you get a smooth line.
- 3. make sure the cups aren’t too loose
- If the cups are baggy or creasing, try a cup size down.
- 4. ... or too small
- If you’re overflowing a bit, try a cup size up.
- 5. get the right support
- The underband of the bra gives you your main support - if it’s too big the straps will take the strain and dig in. So make sure your underband fits snugly, but gives you enough space to fit two fingers under the back.
- 6. keep it level
- Your underband should be level all the way around too. If it’s riding up at the back, try a smaller underband size.
- 7. go for the middle hook
- Always fasten a new bra on the middle hook. That way you’ll be able to loosen or tighten it if you need to.
- 8. make yourself comfortable
- With underwired bras, the centre front should lie flat against your breastbone – if it doesn’t, go up a cup size. The underwiring itself should sit comfortably on your rib cage, without digging in.
- 9. use your mirror
- Check out your silhouette by trying on your new bra under a gently fitted T-shirt. Look at yourself from every angle to make sure you get a smooth line all round.
- 10. get moving
- Don’t just stand there, do something! You need to test that your new bra is comfortable when you’re in action.

knicker style guide
We have such a wide range of briefs it can be tricky knowing what's what, so here's our quick guide.
- thong
- Usually cut high at the side, with a waist just below your natural waistline and only a slim strip of fabric at the back - guaranteeing no visible panty lines!
- mini
- This style sits low on the hips, with a low cut-away leg.
- midi
- Low on the hips with a low leg - with deeper sides than the mini.
- high leg
- High cut legs, with a waistband just below your natural waistline.
- full brief
- Sits up to the waist from a low leg to give you full coverage.
- girl boxer
- Fun, fashionable briefs that are low on the hips with a low, straight leg and wide elastic waistband.
- french knickers
- Flirty, loose and flowing around the legs, these usually finish just below the waist.
- control brief
- A full brief shape, with supportive fabric panels to shape the body and create a sleeker silhouette.
