company benefits

At Evans we know that our people are our best asset and our Generating Growth Strategy reflects this belief. This strategy details all the development solutions available to you to help you to deliver your day job and fully reach your potential.
Your Journey to Success
We want Evans to be a great place to work for all our team. That's why we want everyone to feel free to follow a career path that's right for each individual, your very own "Journey to Success".
From the first day that you join the Evans team you'll be supported every step of the way to ensure that you feel able to reach your potential.
Sales Advisor Development
When you join Evans as a new sales advisor, you'll begin at training level. As part of our commitment to your continued learning and development, we provide you with a competency framework to give you a clear understanding of your role and the standards we expect you to achieve. In turn, this will give you an understanding of how you are doing and the opportunity for further development and career progression.
On completion of training level, you will then work towards various competency levels - Standard Level, Advanced Level and Top level. In recognition for completion of each competency level, you'll be awarded a one off bonus payment, depending on the level you have reached.
You'll receive ongoing support, coaching and feedback every step of the way and you'll have the opportunity to work your way towards management if that's what you want to do! Read on to find out more about what to expect as a manager within Evans.
Management Induction
When you join Evans you'll complete a comprehensive induction in one of our training stores. Not only will your induction equip you with this information, it will give you an opportunity to demonstrate your understanding of the brand and your role within it. It will also help you to understand the support that is available to you now and throughout your career.
Management Competencies
Clear, concise and useable competency frameworks detail what you need to demonstrate to achieve results in your branch. They will also support your personal development by allowing you to identify strengths and development areas.
Ultimately we let you know what's expected of you and how you are doing every step of the way.
Self Development
Whilst the management competencies will allow you to identify your strengths and development areas, they don't provide development in themselves. At Evans we offer lots of development solutions to help you, here is a sneak preview of what's on offer:
- Successional Development programmes for every major career stage
- Career Development Programmes
- Distance learning packs
- On the job learning
- Tailored development solutions
- In-Store training materials e.g. Commercial Fashion Academy
- Specialist Roles e.g. Area Trainer, Area Loss Prevention specialist
- One to one coaching
Reviews and Appraisals
In order to become as effective as possible in your role, discussions about your performance with your line manager will be critical. Open and honest feedback is key to everything we do at Evans so you will have a structured annual appraisal, and regular reviews to discuss how you are getting on during and long after your Induction had finished.
