Victoria Derham, Buyer
I joined Arcadia 10 years ago, starting as a Buyers Admin Assistant in Dorothy Perkins on the knitwear dept and have worked my way up. I have had experience in many areas including tailoring, formal tops, dresses and the accessories department. I now work as a Buyer in the ecommerce dept; I am responsible for the look and feel of the Evans website. This involves working closely with the web designer to produce up to date trends and looks, twice weekly product and offer e-mails to customers. Social media plays a large part of my role. Keeping the blog (Evans fashion Fix) new and exciting, replying to Facebook comments and posting news and offers on Twitter.
I am also responsible for the Evans catalogues which involves choosing product, selecting outfits, going on the shoot and copy checking. I love this part of my job role as it is something I have not done before.
Working on the E-commerce team is fast and exciting. We are constantly finding new ways to move the website forward. I work with a great team who are all dedicated to their roles and together we are very proud of what we achieve.
My new role has enabled me to return to work part time basis after having my second child so for now my work/life balance is a happy one!
